With a slightly different brief from what we are used to, we were asked to produce a full sized tree that had been designed for the arrivals lounge at East Midlands Airport. This piece is representational to the local area. The bottom section is a traditional tree that represents the local history. It then morphs into a more modern, sculptural tree that represents all of the modern technological businesses in the area. You my notice there are some green leaves within the modern section. These represent the idea that history always continues through to modern day
